Tech Tip - Use Outlook’s “Report” Button to Flag Suspicious Emails

Spot something 'phishy' in your inbox? Outlook’s built-in “Report” tool lets you quickly flag dodgy messages, and helps Microsoft improve detection.

How to:

– In the Outlook desktop app or web version, click on the email in your inbox to preview it in the Reading Pane — no need to open it fully.
– Click the Report button in the toolbar (sometimes labelled Junk or Phishing).
– Choose Phishing or Junk, depending on the content.
– The email will be flagged and moved out of your inbox.

Pro-Tip: Reporting dodgy messages helps train Microsoft's filters and protects others in your organisation too.
